BREAKING NEWS: According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Philadelphia Eagles are set to hire Green Bay Packers quarterbacks coach Sean Mannion as their next offensive coordinator.

Mannion has quickly risen through the coaching ranks after transitioning from an NFL backup quarterback to a respected offensive assistant. He spent the past two seasons working closely with Packers quarterback Jordan Love, playing a key role in his development within Matt LaFleur’s offense.

The move signals a clear direction for the Eagles as they look to modernize and streamline their offense while maximizing quarterback play. Mannion’s familiarity with quarterback mechanics, game planning, and weekly preparation stood out during the interview process.

While the team has not yet made an official announcement, all signs point to Mannion taking over play-calling duties in Philadelphia as the Eagles finalize their new-look coaching staff ahead of the 2026 season.

The Eagles have confirmed the hire.
