The Eagles took a massive loss this offseason when the Cowboys poached Christian Parker from their defense.

Vic Fangio still has Joe Kasper internally who will be taking on Parker’s role, but they are bringing in a new face as another defensive backs coach.

On Friday, CBS Sports’ Matt Zenitz reported that the Eagles will be bringing in Mike Pellegrino for that role.

Pellegrino had been working with the Bills but the Patriots for years before that.

New England was where he also helped develop one of the only young corners that is at the level of Quinyon Mitchell and Cooper DeJean in Christian Gonzalez.

Pellegrino is a similarly highly-esteemed coach to help offset the loss of Parker as the 32-year old already has over 10 years of experience coaching at the NFL level.
