The Philadelphia Flyers have recalled defensemen Oliver Bonk and Hunter McDonald from the AHL’s Lehigh Valley Phantoms as regulars participate in the 2026 Winter Olympics, the club announced.
Bonk, the Flyers’ 22nd-overall pick in the 2023 NHL Draft, returns after missing significant time with an upper-body injury and has two goals and six points in 22 AHL games this season.
McDonald, 23, also comes up for practice reps and development time, he has yet to make his NHL debut.
Both players will skate with the Flyers during practices while key roster players are in Italy. The Flyers resume their regular-season schedule on February 25, 2026 at the Washington Capitals.
