You can officially cross Archbishop Wood product Kyle Pitts off the list of potential tight ends available in the upcoming NFL free-agency cycle.

According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, the Atlanta Falcons are expected to place the franchise tag on Pitts. The tight end tag is projected to cost $16.32 million, a figure Atlanta will carry on its salary cap unless a long-term deal is finalized.

That development effectively removes Pitts from the market at a time when the Philadelphia Eagles currently have no tight ends under contract, with all of their options set to reach free agency. Philadelphia will now have to look elsewhere as it reshapes the position this offseason.
