As the A.J. Brown’s name continues to swirl in offseason trade chatter, the Philadelphia Eagles front office took the podium at the NFL Scouting Combine and laid out their most public comments to date.

When asked if he expects Brown to be back in 2026, head coach Nick Sirianni was clear about his desire but cautious on guarantees. “My expectation is he wants to be here and, you know, obviously you want good players like that in your building,” Sirianni said, pointing to mutual interest between the team and the star wideout.

Sirianni doubled down on how much he values Brown, calling him not just a playmaker, but a teammate and person he respects: “A.J.’s a great player and A.J.’s a good teammate and A.J.’s a good person.”

But when pressed on whether Brown will be on the roster next season, Sirianni hedged: “Will A.J. be here next season? … I can’t guarantee how anything is going to play out into next season.”

General manager Howie Roseman echoed the sentiment that Brown remains a prized part of the roster while underscoring the front office’s operational philosophy. “I think A.J. is a great player,” Roseman said, before adding that the Eagles “go into the league year listening to offers for everything and anything,” emphasizing they’re “always kind of open.”

The Eagles’ message is clear: they want Brown back, believe he wants to be in Philadelphia, and understand his impact… but they won’t completely rule anything out as offseason negotiations and roster building continue.
