The Philadelphia Eagles may be without one of their young linebackers for most of the offseason.

Defensive coordinator Vic Fangio revealed that linebacker Jihaad Campbell is dealing with a shoulder injury that will likely keep him sidelined throughout much of the team’s spring program. Fangio said Campbell will “probably miss most of the offseason,” which includes OTAs and potentially mandatory minicamp.

While the timeline remains fluid, the Eagles are hopeful Campbell will be ready to return by training camp in late July.

The injury is notable because Campbell entered the league with previous shoulder concerns, having undergone labrum surgery before being drafted in the first round in 2025. The Eagles view the Alabama product as a key piece of their linebacker room with Nakobe Dean moving on to Las Vegas.

If Campbell misses extended offseason time, others like Jeremiah Trotter Jr. could see increased reps as the Eagles evaluate depth at the position.

For now, Philadelphia appears to be prioritizing Campbell’s recovery with the goal of having him fully healthy when training camp begins.
