The Philadelphia Phillies announced Thursday that franchise legend Chase Utley will be the club’s 2026 Wall of Fame inductee. Former teammates Ryan Howard and Cole Hamels on hand for the announcement.
Utley spent 13 of his 16 MLB seasons in Philadelphia (2003–2015), becoming one of the most impactful second basemen of his era. A six-time All-Star, four-time Silver Slugger, and key figure in the Phillies’ 2008 World Series championship, Utley finished his Phillies career with 259 home runs, 1,025 RBIs, and elite defensive metrics that defined the position for a decade.
Utley’s blend of power, defense, and postseason impact has strengthened his case for Cooperstown, where many analysts view him as a strong Hall of Fame candidate in the very near future.
