It appears those push backs on the void dates for Dallas Goedert’s contract paid off.

On Sunday, ahead of that third set void date, reports have surfaced that Goedert has reached a deal with the Eagles.

The move pushes his dead money back for at least another season and would keep him in Philadelphia for his ninth season.

Geodert was a second-round pick of the Eagles as Ertz reached the end of his career with the team.

It would be a shock if the Eagles did not go after a young tight end in the draft as his future replacement.

Goedert has been an extremely effective tight end, but the whole market at the position has been weaker than anticipated.

That, along with Goedert potentially wanting to stay homself, is probably ehat helped a new deal get done.

No details have been released so far regarding the money on the deal.
