This one isn’t a loss but the organization wishes him well.
On Wednesday, AJ Dillon signed with the Carolina Panthers.
The back spent just one season in Philadelphia, buried on the depth chart and unable to breakout to his previous form.
Unless the Panthers front office is crazy, Dillon should not factor into any compensatory pick formulas.
Dillon appeared in seven games last season and had 12 rushes for 60 yards.
He started the year as the third running back in the rotation, used scarcely with Barkley being a bell cow, but that all changed when Tank Bigsby took the field.
After Bigsby broke out, it was evident he was RB2 for the rest of the year, which relegated Dillon and Will Shipley to the sideline.
