Though he was never a Pro Bowl or All-Pro player, a former Eagle who made an impact retired Wednesday.
Boston Scott, who spent much of his NFL career as the second or third running back in Philadelphia, is hanging it up.
Every regular season or playoff game he appeared in came with the Eagles after they poached him off the New Orleans practice squad at the end of a down year.
Scott put up 1861 yards for the Eagles along with 17 touchdowns over parts of six season (75 games).
He made a name for himself with the fanbase as he tore up the rivals to the north, rushing for 422 yards, receiving 222 yards, and scoring nine of those touchdowns against the NY Giants, often at the end of the season and in situations where the Eagles running back room was short handed.
He last appeared in a game for the Eagles at the end of the 2023 season before signing with the Rams that offseason.
