A new report has shed light on the Milwaukee Bucks’ trade talks involving Giannis Antetokounmpo—and the Philadelphia 76ers involvement.
According to ESPN’s Ramona Shelburne, the Bucks had interest in Sixers rookie guard VJ Edgecombe as part of a potential blockbuster framework. Milwaukee’s asking price was described as “enormous,” centered on draft capital and young cornerstone talent.
While the idea of pairing Antetokounmpo with Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey is intriguing, the Sixers reportedly had little interest in including Edgecombe. The 20-year-old has impressed and is viewed as a foundational piece moving forward.
Ultimately, talks never gained traction but the report reinforces just how valuable Edgecombe has become in the Sixers’ long-term plans.
