Speaking at the NFL Owner’s Meetings, Jeff Lurie emphasized the organization is still in an “exploratory phase” when it comes to the team’s stadium future. That includes evaluating both renovations to The Linc and the possibility of a brand-new stadium.

A major factor driving the conversation? Hosting a Super Bowl.

Philadelphia is currently unable to land one due to the lack of a dome, something Lurie acknowledged as a key limitation. A new stadium, potentially with a roof, would immediately change that.

Still, Lurie made it clear he values the tradition of outdoor football. The cold-weather identity of the Eagles is something he doesn’t take lightly, creating a balancing act between preserving that culture and major-event opportunities.

Importantly, no timeline is imminent. The Eagles’ lease at Lincoln Financial Field runs through 2032, meaning any major decision remains years away.

For now, the message is simple: the Eagles aren’t leaving but long-term change is very much possible.
