The Eagles have their initial 53-man roster and now they can begin building their practice squad.

RB Dameon Pierce

The Eagles are bringing back one of their earlier releases who has over 1,000 yards in the NFL already as veteran depth for a position they only kept three players.

DL Uar Bernard

It may not be through the IPP if they look to re-sign Weru as well, but Bernard cleared waivers and will be back in Philadelphia to continue his development.

DT Gabe Hall

The Eagles keep Hall around for another season to add depth to their defensive line.

OT Kiran Amegadjie

The Birds take a shot on the 2024 third-round pick of the Bears who has appeared in just six games and he gets a shot with a franchise that has developed OL talent well in recent history.

LB Keyshawn James-Newby

The Eagles bring back one of their recent draft picks as they hope to develop the seventh-round pick into the future.

OT John Ojukwu

The tackle who has appeared in 16 NFL games for the Titans and joined the Eagles on a futures contract is back to provide some veteran presence.

LB Chance Campbell

Fangio said linebacker was deep and in half or more of the previous 10 years, what Campbell did probably would have earned him a spot on the back of the roster. With three starting caliber players, however, Campbell just didn’t make the numbers crunch but the team manages to get him back.

WR Britain Covey

Covey is a big get for the Eagles as he’s by far the best punt return option they have not to mention that he’s improved as a backup receiver. They could look to use his elevations, but it’s unclear what the plan for special teams would be if/when they might exhaust that.

IOL Jake Majors

A guard and center with experience in the league both with and outside of Philadelphia, he’ll provide the veteran depth on the inside should the team run into injuries there.

S Maximus Pulley

Pulley has been with the Eagles since right after the draft when he signed as an UDFA with the team. They must have seen some things they liked from the Wofford product that they have decided to keep him around and Vic Fangio wants to keep working to develop him, particularly at a position where they don’t have much depth.

LB Mason Reiger

Reiger is a bit of a lottery ticket for the Eagles. An UDFA this year, he signed with the Dolphins but was released with an injury designation several weeks ago. The Eagles worked him out and apparently it went well enough that they wanted to bring him in for at least a bit longer.

He was the East-West Shrine Bowl Defensive MVP this ear after spending four years between Louisville and Wisconsin where he had six or more sacks in each of his last three seasons.

RB Carson Steele

Steele has yet to make a huge impact outside blocking in regular season NFL games, but he was a preseason darling and fans were upset to hear he was cut. The Eagles manage to get him back and get themselves all five of the best backs they had this preseason back with the team heading into the season despite only rostering three.

LB Joshua Weru

The Eagles get both international players back on the practice squad to develop. Only one can count for the international exemption that’ll allow for 17 players to join the practice squad.

S Cole Wisniewski

The Eagles get the safety they drafted this year back in Philly after an injury-riddled preseason and camp left him without enough tape for another team to take a chance on and making him a bit of an unknown for even the Eagles.

RB Jaydon Blue

A fifth-round pick of the Cowboys just last year, Blue was highly touted but saw very little game action last year.

The Eagles have officially announced 13 signings to their practice squad. With an international exemption, they are allowed to carry 17.
