Philadelphia: It has been way too long since Stanley Cup playoff hockey took place in South Philadelphia at Xfinity Mobile Arena & when the Flyers defeated the Pittsburgh Penguins in game 2 on Monday to go up 2-0 in the series, the buzz around the city of Philadelphia is now picking up for playoff hockey

Now the series between the Flyers & Penguins now shifts to Philadelphia for Games 3 & 4, starting on Wednesday as the Flyers attempt to take full control of the series. On Wednesday night would mark the first NHL Playoff game for the Flyers back in South Philadelphia since 2018, which in that series was also against the Penguins.

The Last Playoff game in South Philly was April 22, 2018, when the Penguins knocked the Flyers out of the playoffs. The Flyers’ last playoff win at home was on April 20, 2016, when the Flyers defeated the Capitals in game 4

 

The Flyers last win against the Penguins in the Playoffs at Home was Game 6, 2012, which was known as the Shift when Claude Giroux would drop Sidney Crosby & then score the games first goal

 

NBC Sports Philadelphia will have Games 3 & 4. On the call will be Jim Jackson, filling in for Brian Boucher for Games 3 & 4, is Scott Hartnell. The National broadcast will be done by TNT & TBS. TNT will do Game 3 & TBS will do Game 4, On the call will be Kenny Albert & Brian Boucher.

Brian Boucher will be back on NBC Sports Philadelphia when the series goes to Game 5
