The Philadelphia Flyers are headed to the second round for the first time since 2020 after a dramatic 1-0 overtime victory over the Pittsburgh Penguins.

With 2:23 remaining in overtime, Cam York buried the game-winner, sending the Flyers to a 4-2 series win and igniting (!!!) celebration for the Orange and Black.

While York will forever be tied to the playoff moment, this game belonged just as much to Dan Vladar. The Flyers’ netminder delivered a flawless performance, stopping all 42 shots he faced. Time and time again, Vladar came up with key saves to keep the Flyers alive, frustrating a Penguins offense that controlled long stretches of play.

Next up is a second-round matchup against the Carolina Hurricanes, led by former Flyer Rod Brind’Amour.
