The Philadelphia Flyers’ prospect pipeline continues to lean heavily toward the NCAA route, as 2025 first-round pick Jack Nesbitt officially confirmed his commitment to the University of Michigan for the 2026-27 season.
Nesbitt, selected 12th overall by Philadelphia in the 2025 NHL Draft, spent the last three seasons with the Windsor Spitfires in the OHL, posting 25 goals and 58 points in 55 games this past season. The 6-foot-4 center is viewed as one of the organization’s most intriguing long-term prospects because of his size, two-way game, and physical presence down the middle.

Michigan continues to become a major development hub for NHL talent, and Nesbitt will now join a loaded Wolverines roster filled with top prospects across the league. The move also gives the Flyers prospect more time to refine key parts of his game — particularly his skating and offensive consistency — against older, faster competition at the NCAA level.
