Philadelphia: One of the highlights on the basketball Calender in Philadelphia is the Danny Rumph Classic, this event features multiple former NBA & College Stars with some upcoming players in College, for the 21st year this would get the buzz that basketball season for NBA & College is coming around the corner & for the 2nd year in row, this event would be held at the Daskalakis Athletic Center on the campus of Drexel University. They used to play at Tom Gola Arena on the Campus of LaSalle & have also been played at the Mallery Recreation Center in East Germantown
Some of the highlights from the event in how we got to the 2 teams playing for the Title
On the 2nd Day of the event, a special guest would arrive: new 76ers player Jaylen Brown would come by to see the action
In the Sunday Semifinals, the two teams advancing to play for the Monday Title game were TBB and the Rumph Center. TBB would win their game at the buzzer on a shot from former Sixers player Tyrese Martin,
Former Saint Joseph’s star Jordan Hall would have some good scoring games, including going coast to coast
Former Villanova Wildcats Wooga Poplar would have one of the higher scoring games, which happened on Friday night, dropping 33 points
