The Eagles did not get healthier as they hoped.
They did get Saquon Barkley in the game, but for limited snaps and his grimaces on the sidelines made it pretty obvious that he shouldn’t be playing.
That left a big opportunity for Dameon Pierce, the Eagles RB5 after Bigsby and Shipley were joined by Carson Steele when he was waived with an injured designation.
Pierce did well until he also couldn’t get up in the second half – and now he’s hitting injured reserve, too.
We have signed RB Jaydon Blue to the active roster. We have also signed G Evan Beerntsen, WR Quentin Skinner, and DB Shaun Wade to the practice squad. We have placed RB Dameon Pierce on the Injured Reserve List. https://t.co/tAeLtq8Bjm

That leaves Elijah Mitchell, who re-joined the team in the middle of last week and muffed two different return opportunities where he was generally awful overall, at seemingly the top healthy back on the roster as RB6.
The Eagles do bring Jaydon Blue back to the active roster, so he’ll probably see some snaps, too – he did appear on the active roster for the Panthers game.
Evan Beerntsen, Quentin Skinner, and Shaun Wade join the practice squad.
Wade has been with the team on and off since June and was last released from the practice squad on 10/13.
Beerntsen and Skinner are new to the team, with the former being a Northwestern product that was selected by the Ravens in the seventh round this year and spent the last month or so with the Seahawks practice squad while the latter being a 2025 UDFA who spent all of last seasons with the Jets and much of the summer with the Bills.
