The Philadelphia 76ers laid an egg in Game 4, getting blown out 128-96 by the Boston Celtics in a performance that raises serious concerns as the series tightens.
From the jump, the Sixers looked outmatched. Boston punched first and never let up, exposing Philadelphia’s lack of depth and defensive urgency. While Joel Embiid (26 points, 10 rebounds) and Tyrese Maxey (22 points) showed up, the rest of the roster didn’t follow. The supporting cast disappeared, and the offense stalled into predictable, isolation-heavy sets.
Meanwhile, Jayson Tatum and Boston’s role players carved up the Sixers defense with ease, turning the game into a rout before halftime.
If the Sixers have any chance of flipping this series, it starts with urgency, defensive toughness, and getting more than just star production. Right now, the gap looks wider than anyone in Philly wants to admit.
