The Philadelphia Flyers won’t have to wait long before beginning their second-round Stanley Cup Playoff series against the Carolina Hurricanes. Game 1 of the best-of-seven matchup is scheduled for Saturday night with an 8:00 p.m. ET puck drop on ABC and associated streaming platforms.

The Flyers enter the series riding the momentum of a thrilling Game 6 overtime victory over the rival Pittsburgh Penguins in the opening round. Meanwhile, the Hurricanes advanced after a dominant four-game sweep of the Ottawa Senators in the first round.

Oddsmakers in Las Vegas have installed the Orange and Black as the underdog against their Metropolitan Division rival.

During the 2025-26 regular season, the Hurricanes controlled the season series, posting a 1-0-3 record against the Flyers across four meetings. Notably, none of the four games were decided in regulation, highlighting how tightly contested the matchup has been between the two teams.
