The latest comments surrounding Jalen Hurts continue to push back against the narrative that the Philadelphia Eagles quarterback created friction within the organization during the offseason.

Former Eagles quarterbacks coach Scot Loeffler spoke glowingly about Hurts in an interview with the Toledo Blade, dismissing reports questioning the quarterback’s leadership and coachability. Following Philadelphia’s decision to part ways with offensive coordinator Kevin Patullo, an ESPN report cited tension between Hurts and members of the organization, including head coach Nick Sirianni. One anonymous source reportedly described Hurts as “not always bought in” and “not the most coachable.”

Loeffler’s experience told a much different story.

“I absolutely loved it,” Loeffler said of working with Hurts. “He’s a super coachable, championship-type of guy.”

The longtime coach also addressed the attention generated after Hurts posted a photo training with him earlier this offseason, months after the Eagles hired a new quarterbacks coach. Loeffler downplayed the speculation, explaining the sessions were simply designed to reinforce the fundamentals and techniques they previously worked on together.
