Philadelphia is officially on top of the football world once again. Well, sorta.

According to the 2026 USA Today 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards, Philadelphia was voted the “Best NFL City” in America, beating out several major football markets across the country.

For anyone who has spent time around the city during football season, the honor probably comes as no surprise.

The passion surrounding the Philadelphia Eagles has become part of the identity of the city itself. From packed tailgates at Lincoln Financial Field to “Go Birds” becoming a universal greeting across the Delaware Valley, Philadelphia’s football culture stands apart from nearly every other market in sports.

USA Today’s recognition follows years of national attention centered around the city’s passionate fanbase, especially after the Eagles’ recent championship success and sustained dominance as one of the NFL’s premier organizations.

Philadelphia beat out nearly 20 NFL cities in the national voting process, further solidifying what Eagles fans have argued for decades: no city lives and breathes football quite like Philly.

Whether it’s sold-out stadium crowds, road-game takeovers, or the emotional investment fans pour into every Sunday, the city continues to set the standard for NFL passion.

The rest of the country finally agrees. Philly is officially the best football city in America.
