New Philadelphia Eagles offensive coordinator Sean Mannion finally met with the Philadelphia media on Thursday ahead of Organized Team Activities (OTA’s), offering the first real glimpse into what the team’s new-look offense could become in 2026. The 33-year-old first-time NFL offensive coordinator spoke confidently about building an adaptable system around quarterback Jalen Hurts and the talent already on the roster.

Mannion, who comes from the Sean McVay/Kyle Shanahan coaching tree, emphasized rhythm, timing, and creating an offense that evolves weekly instead of becoming predictable. While he avoided giving away schematic details, he repeatedly referenced tailoring the system to fit player strengths, especially Hurts’ unique dual-threat ability.

The new coordinator praised Hurts for his work ethic, attention to detail, and desire to improve, calling the Eagles franchise quarterback “hungry for more.” Mannion also noted the offense won’t simply rely on Hurts’ running ability but instead use it as one part of a more balanced and aggressive attack.

After months of waiting since his January hiring, Eagles fans finally heard directly from the coach tasked with reviving an offense that struggled with consistency late last season. With OTA practices approaching, Thursday’s press conference marked the official beginning of the Sean Mannion era in Philadelphia.
