The smoke surrounding a potential A.J. Brown trade continues to build, and all signs are pointing toward the Eagles making a move after June 1.

According to the latest reports, Philadelphia’s asking price remains firm at a 2027 first-round pick for the All-Pro wide receiver. The post-June 1 designation is critical because it allows the Eagles to spread Brown’s massive dead cap hit across multiple seasons instead of absorbing more than $43 million immediately.

The New England Patriots continue to be viewed as the most likely landing spot, with league insiders expecting talks to intensify once the calendar flips to June. Mike Vrabel’s history with Brown in Tennessee has kept New England heavily connected throughout the offseason.

Meanwhile, the Los Angeles Rams — once viewed as a serious contender — are reportedly no longer in the mix after trade discussions earlier this spring advanced further than many realized.

The Kansas City Chiefs have also surfaced in speculation as a possible dark-horse suitor, but for now, the Eagles appear focused on landing at least one future first-round pick before seriously engaging on a deal.
