The Philadelphia Eagles officially terminated veteran defensive end Brandon Graham’s contract as part of a procedural June 2 move, according to the NFL’s official personnel notice. The move was not formally announced by the team because it primarily serves salary cap purposes, allowing Graham’s dead money to be split between the 2026 and 2027 seasons.

Despite the transaction, there remains a strong possibility Graham returns to Philadelphia for another season. The 38-year-old proved last year he could still contribute as a valuable rotational piece along the defensive line. In nine games following his return from a brief retirement, Graham recorded three sacks and two tackles for loss across 113 defensive snaps while also showing versatility at defensive tackle.

From Week 9 through the end of the season, only Jalyx Hunt, Nakobe Dean, and Jalen Carter recorded more sacks for the Eagles than Graham. Beyond the production, Graham’s leadership and locker room presence continue to make him a valued piece of the organization.
