It has happened once again.
Just as with DeVante Parker in 2024 and Myles Jack in 2023, one of the Eagles offseason additions has retired before they even played a snap with the team.
Now Joe Tryon-Shoyinka will be following suit.

The former first-round pick signed with the team in March, before the draft.
There has not been a reason given as to why he decided to retire at 27, but Tryon-Shoyinka had not attended OTAs or minicamp.
The team may have been aware of this move coming up and that may be why they jumped on the deal for AJ Epenesa a week ago.
With the retirement, the EDGE room now seems to come down to Jonathan Greenard, Nolan Smith, Jalyx Hunt, Arnold Ebiketie, and AJ Epenesa at the top with Ta’Quon Graham, Keyshawn James-Newby, Josh Weru, and Jose Ramirez trying to battle their way into a spot.
