Chester, PA: It’s been 67 days since we saw the Philadelphia Union in action after being off for the FIFA World Cup. Now they get back to MLS play, trying to shake things up after the not-so-good of what they had been doing before the break.

They would battle Red Bull New York from Subaru Park in Chester, PA.

The last time we saw the Union was in one of the craziest games as they fell to Inter Miami 6-4.

During the World Cup break, the Union would make a coaching change as they moved on from Bradley Carnell with Ryan Ricker taking over.

Additionally, right before 2nd half of the season started, they would bring back fan-favorite Kai Wagner.

Coming into the game, the Union were still looking for their first home win of the season after not getting a single win at home during the 1st half.

The Union would get the scoring started in the 9^th minute from Milan Iloski:

The Red Bulls would get the game tied in the 38th minute and it would be tied at 1 going into halftime.

Based on what we saw in the 1st half, what could the Union do to get the goal for their 1st home win of the season?

The Union would keep the pressure on the Red Bulls and it would pay off in the 57th minute as Indiana Vassilev would give the Union the lead at 2-1.

Then in the 66th minute, the Union would add to the lead as Neil Pierre would score in his MLS Debut:

In the 72nd minute, we had a bone-chilling moment as Quinn Sullivan would get into the game after tearing his ACL last year:

As the final whistle would blow, the Union would get their 1st home win of the season as they take down the Red Bulls.

This Union team looked way different than what we witnessed in the 1st half of the MLS season. You also got to see what it is like when the fans are involved from start to finish, and it helped keep the players going.

What is next :
With this win, the Union got a big 3 points and gave the home fans something to be happy about.
