Zack Baun, Quinyon Mitchell Join NFL Top 100 List

It was the Eagles signal caller who got the Eagles on the board a few weeks ago, but now the defense is represented.

Coming in at the 40s, the Eagles have two of their keystone defenders.

First up was soon-to-be third-year man Quinyon Mitchell.

Mitchell isn’t yet eligible for an extension, but he’ll be first in line next offseason.

He’s played only two seasons and been selected to a Pro Bowl, selected as first-team All-Pro by the AP and Pro Football Writers and second-team by PFF.

It’s also his second appearance on the NFL Top 100, as the players selected him at 49 last year – so he moved up two spots in the rankings.

Joining him again is standout linebacker Zack Baun.

Basically no one predicted this when he signed as a free agent, but Baun now has two top 100 appearances in two seasons with the Birds after a career of receiving no accolades of that caliber in the NFL before heading to Philly.

It’s a drop for Baun, who goes from 26 last year to 45, but he’s still playing at an impactful level.

Baun will now wear the green dot with Nakobe Dean departing in free agency and will be critical to helping the development of Jihaad Campbell alongside him as his battery mate.
