The time for McKee was not long.
While he had been in the key spot, the Eagles are moving on after just three games.
On Wednesday, reports arrived that Joe Milton would be starting at QB now.
A QB change in Philadelphia: the Eagles are naming Joe Milton their starting QB and benching Tanner McKee for Sunday’s game vs. the Giants, per @mikegarafolo and me. https://t.co/kVkMqLmUb4

As with McKee, Milton now gets a shot to turn himself into a valuable trade chip or play himself into a new contract.
For McKee’s part, he wasn’t really bad but he wasn’t good, either.
Milton will get the shot now after being brought in less than a month ago from the Cowboy’s practice squad.
Milton has appeared in five NFL games and has two interceptions and two touchdowns in 53 attempts.
The former Michigan and Tennessee QB is handed a dysfunctional offense that frankly seems like it’d remain pathetic even if they had the Hurts and Barkley from two years ago playing, so it may not be much of a chance.
Milton will have to contend with what is essentially half a roster of injuries, an incompetent head coach, an OC that has so far been a failure, and a faltering defense.
He will start against the Giants this weekends.
