Philadelphia 76ers rookie V.J. Edgecombe added another major accomplishment to his impressive first NBA season after being named to the NBA All-Rookie First Team on Wednesday.
The No. 3 overall pick in the 2025 NBA Draft earned all 100 First-Team votes after averaging 16.0 points, 5.6 rebounds, 4.2 assists, and 1.4 steals across 75 games for Philadelphia. Edgecombe quickly became one of the Sixers’ most impactful young players thanks to his athleticism, scoring ability, and defensive versatility.
The 20-year-old also delivered several standout performances throughout the season, including a memorable 34-point showing against the Boston Celtics early in the year. His consistent production helped position him as one of the NBA’s top rookies and a finalist for Rookie of the Year honors.
Edgecombe joins Cooper Flagg, Dylan Harper, Kon Knueppel, and Cedric Coward on the league’s All-Rookie First Team as Philadelphia continues building around its emerging young core.
