Former Eagles Star AJ Brown Leaves Bold Farewell Note at Team Facility

Former Eagles star wide receiver A.J. Brown is once again making headlines in Philadelphia following a bold message he reportedly left behind before departing for the New England Patriots.

According to reports, Brown stopped by the Eagles facility to collect belongings and signed his Pro Bowl display with the message: “The best to ever play here. Always open.”

The statement quickly generated banter among Eagles fans and sports talk barkers, with many questioning whether Brown’s claim matches his place in franchise history.

There’s no denying Brown’s impact during his four seasons in Philadelphia. He recorded four consecutive 1,000-yard seasons, earned multiple Pro Bowl and All-Pro honors, helped lead the Eagles to two Super Bowl appearances, and was a key contributor to a championship run. However, he finished ninth in franchise history in receiving yards, leaving many to argue that while Brown was among the best receivers to wear midnight green, calling himself the greatest Eagle ever is a stretch.

Whether fans view the message as confidence, arrogance, or both, one thing is certain: Brown’s departure continues to drive conversations as the Eagles move forward into a new era without one of the most talented receivers in franchise history.
