Philadelphia: We are a couple of days into the 2026 FIFA World Cup, and the action has been exciting. Now it makes its way to South Philadelphia, to Lincoln Financial Field, but for the World Cup, the stadium will be known as Philadelphia Stadium. There will be 6 World Cup games. The first game is the Ivory Coast vs Ecuador in Group E Play. Ivory Coast selected Subaru Park in Chester, the Home of the Philadelphia Union, as their basecamp for the FIFA World Cup.

In the first couple of minutes, both teams would have some good scoring chances,  There would be 3 times in the first 30 minutes that Ecuador would have the better scoring chances but they would hit the crossbar & Post

This game would be scoreless at halftime, and both teams would have their chance to make the big play to get the scoring started.

Going into the 2nd half, who would be able to break through and get the 3 points in group play? In the 51st minute, Ivory Coast would follow the trend of what Ecuador did in the 1st half with their shot hitting the crossbar

Ivory Coast would break through in the 90th minute for the 1-0 lead on a goal from Amad Diallo

A Crowd of 68,274 would see a good game to get things going in South Philly. As the final Whistle blew, the Ivory Coast fans in attendance would be very happy to walk away with a hard-fought win for 3 points in Group E
